Complete mission for C & S engineering.
Robbrecht en Daem architecten designed the interior of the new café in BOZAR Center for Fine Arts. The building of Victor Horta from 1929 has been renovated for several years. Concert halls, exhibition spaces, cinema halls, the glass roof … underwent restoration and refurbishment. A permanent team with Robbrecht en Daem architecten for the new parts, Barbara Van Der Wee for the historical research and design and Ney & Partners for civil and structural studies are appointed. The new café is located in the former bookshop on the facade of the rue Ravenstein. The existing structure of the space was retained. It is a neutral background for the refurbishment with fixed bar in granito, fixed benches with consoles for techniques round the pillars. The circle is a geometric motif that occurs frequently, holes in the walls, as mirror, in the chandeliers and in the textiles of artist Valerie Mannaerts.
