New plans for Neudorf-Cents-Kirchberg bridge, Luxembourg (LU) - (September 14, 2017)

Ney & Partners and Steinmetzdemeyer have submitted plans for a new lift and pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting the Kirchberg plateau with the suburbs of Neudorf and Cents in Luxembourg City. The bridge will be suspended 40 m above the Neudorf Valley with the steel deck structure being supported by cables which will be curved in plan view and in elevation. The Neudorf Valley represents a particularly interesting biological habitat where it is necessary to protect wildlife and flora.  Consequently, the bridge is designed without intermediate pillars, support platforms are only foreseen at the two ends of the bridge. Copyright images: SteinmetzDemeyer
