The construction of the new bridge over the Canal Roeselare-Leie in Ingelmunster is well underway. On 28 August the mounting of the different parts of the steel girders started. The mounting will be done in seven different stages, each lasting one or several days. The fourteen parts are shipped from the constructor Victor Buyck Steel Construction in Ghent to the construction site. The outer parts of the bridge will be placed first, the posing of the final and central piece is foreseen on 22 September. The client, De ‘Vlaamse Waterweg’ will then organise a viewing moment for the public. The construction of the concrete bridge deck will start by the end of this year. The bridge will be finished by the end of 2019.
