Small Bridges in Japan - 11.016
Program
Complete architecural and structural design
Concept
In 2011, a Tokyo-based japanese company producing urban furniture contracted Ney & Partners to design a generic bridge standardised for general use in public space projects.
Specific features
The bridge is destined to be produced in several examples. The span is variable with a maximum of 20m. The idea behind Ney & Partners' design is to create a pure line that integrates easily in different urban contexts and landscapes. The bridge deck is made of extruded aluminium profiles while the main trussed girders are in steel.
