Concept

Renovation and extension of a listed brewery in Leuven. After completion, this building will have several different functions: offices, museum, bars and restaurants, … etc

Specific features

The oldest part dates from 1923 and is caracterised by a brewery-hall in Art Deco style and an ingenious construction scheme using concrete Vierendeel beams. The building is very important in the history of Stella Artois. The extension showcases facades in visible architectural concrete. A large part of the extension will be built as a cantilever over an existing underground canal.
