Concept
New sports haal in Wetteren, domain De Warande. The programme consists of two parts, a cafetaria and a sports hall with fixed gallery. The structure of the cafetaria is made of a steel structure with columns and beams filled in with precast hollow core slabs. The reception is conceived as a "furniture" in exposed precast concrete. The materials stay in général exposed without any finishes. The sports hall is made of 34m span gue laminated timber beams supported on steel columns. The roof is coverd by perforated steel sheets. The assembly on site is almost entirey dry.
