Study of the steel strcuture of the depot
Concept
The project concerns the construction of a depot and maintenance space for tramways on the Marconi Site in Brussels. Longitudinally, the structure can be summerized as a sequence of duopitch roofs. Tranversaly is the same structural system repeated 4 times with, at each time a shift of one roofpitch.
Specific features
The structure is foreseen without expansion joint. The colums are restrained at the bottom. The temperature variations are carried by vertical displacement of the steel truss ridges
