Concept
The Guillaume II centre's renovation project include the refurbishment of the existing buildings, new building to house the wedding hall, the reception room and technical rooms and a suspended steel footbridge connecting the centre to the City Hall.
Specific features
The steel footbridge include a pair of suspension cables. The footbridge is an internal space with a glass facade. The support on the existing City Hall is as light as possible in order to limit work on the existing building. A detailed study of the bridge deflection and of the connection detail with the façade has been conducted.
