New construction on the COOVI-Elishout campus. Complete stability study of a tower of 14 floors.

Concept

8 identical kitchen were stacked, only supported by concrete cores on their perimeter, resulting in a remarkable small tower along the ring road. This tower is the new kitchen school of the COOVI-Elishout campus

Specific features

The typical floor of 12m by 12 is column-free. The structure is formed by the prefabricated concrete elements of the technical and circulation cores. The ribbed floor plates are poured on site and connected to the cores through studded steelplates for thermal interruption.
