Neocitta I - 09.004
Program
Complete study of stability
Concept
Neocitta I is part of the great project redevelop the town of Seraing.
The project consists of designing a mixed building (residences, offices and trade).
The structural principles of Neocitta I correspond to the architectural will to release the ground floor to the maximum.
Only two cores for vertical circulations cross the building from top to bottom.
These cores are very important because they transmit all the forces from the superstructure to the foundations.
The superstructure consists of a vertical backbone made up of a longitudinal concrete wall and transverse concrete walls which take again the loads transmitted by the floors.
Specific features
The architectural bet is to register the building from an environmental point of view.
For that, the multiple interior completions were limited to the profit of a completion exposed concrete and for thus being able to feel the presence of the structure through the building.
