Study of the restoration of the balconies.
Concept
Our office was contacted to make a study and to find a solution for the renovation of the balconies of the Flemish Theatre in Brussels. The elements were in a bad condition. They couldn’t be used for public access anymore. Not only did we have to find a solution for the renovation of the materials, but we also had to create a system of reinforcement without changing the original esthetics of the balconies. The fortification is made through the integration of bars of steel with a high elasticity border and concrete slabs.
