Complete Study of stability for the restoration of a complex neogothic schoolboy, also including extensions in new constructions.

Concept

It is the restoration of a historical building, with a new extension for the library and the workshops. The library is a stacking of square plans of 12m on side, with carrying veils of exposed concrete frontage on the spot cast. The workshop is composed of 4 large veils carrying 25m which are pressed on the two cores of staircases. The flagstones are pressed on these carrying veils and configure with these veils the workshops whose section is out of U. For these carrying frontages, fiber concrete was used.

Specific features

The structure out of exposed concrete – inside and outside- as well as the steel constructions of the mezzanines required to pay an special attention to the design of the details. The range of the workshops is particularly large: 25m.
