Concept

Stage 1: Training track for apprentice truck and forkliftdrivers; Stage 2: Training Centre and instructors building; The training Centre will include a main hall (37m * 55m) to be used for training forklift drivers, classrooms, offices and areas for secondary functions. The instructor’s building will house a classroom and working spaces for the instructors.

Specific features

The use of black concrete for landscaping and the training track; a structural frame consisting of fabricated steel girders spanning 37m and high-resistance reinforced concrete columns; fair-faced in situ concrete walls; 11m high façade using sandwich panels in coloured concrete with a textured surface; rear façade in precast concrete; the instructors building’s structure consists of an un-braced steel frame with precast concrete façade panels.
