The team comprising Barbara Van der Wee, Robbrecht en Daem, Sum Project, Daidalos Peutz, Ove Arup, and Ney & Partners has won the competition for the redevelopment of the “Palais des Beaux-Arts” (the Palace of Fine Arts) in Brussels (B).

The “Palais des Beaux-Arts” is an internationally recognized centre of the arts in the heart of Brussels. The building, of Art Nouveau style, represents a key part of the architectural heritage of Belgium. Over the course of the next few years the Palace intends to undertake significant restoration and renovation work. The goal of the Masterplan is to structure a vision for this restoration which will enable the Palace to be transformed into a facility that corresponds closely with its cultural mission.
