Tervaete Bridge - 01/10/2004

After months of preparation, the new Tervaete bridge will be placed over the river Yser in Diksmuide (30.09.2004).  This bridge consists of two fixed spans of 11m and one mobile span of 16m.  The central steel span is stayed with a tension rod and a piston that  opens and closes the bridge.  This piston will be finely tuned next week.
