The Wissekerke footbridge is getting shape, (B)

The steel structural part of the deck was delivered from Poland and assembled on site. The deck was leveled and fixed to the abutment.

Montage AMORAS

The on-site assembly of the arch frame AMORAS has been carried out over the last couple of days by contratcor Sleurs using 6 mobile cranes. The central element of the arch was mounted in just a few hours this wednesday 21/10/2010. No problems have been reported during the entire operation. The next stage in the construction sequence will be the loading of the bridge by progressively depropping the deck.

Today the first of 16 elements of the new court yard roof will be mounted. The pieces are all roughly 5 by 18m, their weight varies from 8 to 16 tons per piece. The first placed piece is a 'corner piece'.

Today the Jaagpad bridge crossing the Dijle has been put in place.
The bridge was entirely pre-fabricated and transported by truck to the site.
Due to site conditions two cranes were needed to place the bridge on the renovated abutments. As designed, the bridge fitted exactly on and between the existing abutments.
In the next few weeks the abutments will be finished.

Assembly of the Boulevard bridge

On Saturday June 2 the bridge was lifted into place from a barge on the canal. This event was followed by festivities, and attended by Kris Peeters, Minister of Public Works in Flanders.

Competition : Open Oproep Spoor Noord

The Open Oproep jury chose the bike bridge by Ney & Partners because of its iconic character and the layered experiential approach. The bridge is part of a new park in Antwerp North, consisting of over 1,6km of bike and walk boulevards.

Belgian Building Awards - Laureate

Residence Lennox came out as laureate in the 7th edition of the Belgian Building Awards. The transparant extension of the care center for epileptic patients was designed by Artau, with Ney&Partners as structural engineers. The Jury commended the interaction between the different project authors and the respect of the building towards its inhabitants and environment.
